My project is a live digital painting that randomly changes over time using four separate Processing programs. Three randomly generate shapes using parameters that I pre-defined and the fourth allows the user to draw on top of it. However, the painting is constantly changing and erasing the user's drawing. The user is forced to let go of their drawing that will inevitably disappear. They must live in the moment and enjoy the unique painting that exists in that moment. Additionally, the physical frame remains blank and unchanged throughout. When the lights come on and the projection finishes, there is no sign of the colorful, dynamic visual that was there before. The user is left only with their memories because there is no way to recreate perfectly the images they saw before.
First Layer: Random blue dots that are drawn continuously
Second Layer: White Lines that rest every 5 seconds
Third Layer: 12 Random red rectangles that reset every 30 Seconds
Fourth Layer: The user's drawing that resets every 20 Seconds
