For this upcoming project, I wanted to some how combine and/or augment an existing art work of mine that is of a more traditional nature. After watching the video in class of the artists that use projection mapping to alter and create a more immersive experience for the viewer out of their physical paintings, I decided I wanted to try something similar. I want to comment on ideal beauty, and how it is intangible and unattainable. A lot of my paintings are about that, so I hope to be able to project organic shapes onto one of my paintings, that highlight or further comment on my desired concept. I am still in the process of choosing what painting, and what exactly I am going to project on to the painting, but here below are the paintings I am deciding between.
