The LEGO art show is back!
After a one-year hiatus, we’re thrilled to announce the second annual exhibition, now moving from Loveland to Next Gallery in Denver, CO.
Our first show in 2024 drew an incredible range of artists and audiences, proving that tiny bricks can spark big ideas. This isn’t a LEGO building competition, it’s a contemporary art exhibition inviting artists to create works inspired by LEGO from a wide range of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, animation, digital, collage, mixed media, and more!
The show is curated by Joshua Finley, Corrina Espinosa, and Andrew Novick, a trio of artists known for their bold, experimental, and playful approaches to art and culture.

2026 Curatorial Statement
allegory - al·le·gory noun
-
a story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.
Allegory has always been a vital part of the human experience: from ancient myths, fables, and parables to contemporary culture, humans love to use metaphors and symbols to make sense of the world, to critique it, and to imagine new possibilities.
We invite artists to create works inspired by LEGO that convey deeper meaning by weaving narratives that reveal, conceal, or transform. What stories can you tell with bricks as metaphor? What truths can emerge through play, symbol, and imagination?
In a world that feels fragmented, allegory helps us transcend the chaos by connecting the personal to the universal, the playful to the profound. Through allegory, tiny bricks become mirrors, reflecting the wonder and absurdity of being human.
Tell us a visual story!

Exhibition Statement
aLLEGOry is a LEGO-inspired art exhibition exploring play, construction, storytelling, nostalgia, labor, and the cultural language of LEGO—interpreted broadly across media, styles, and conceptual approaches. Artists use LEGO as material, metaphor, reference, or departure point, creating works that range from whimsical to critical, personal to political.
The curatorial goal was to identify works that move beyond surface-level reference and instead employ LEGO as a symbolic system—capable of carrying narrative, critique, humor, memory, and contradiction. What emerged is a body of work that reflects the richness of allegory itself: layered, inventive, and deeply human.
The exhibition celebrates LEGO not merely as a toy, but as a shared visual and cultural language—one that invites remix, imagination, and allegory. Through these works, tiny bricks become mirrors, reflecting the wonder, absurdity, and complexity of contemporary life.
