For my final piece for this class I really wanted to play with the ideas and themes that I worked with over the semester, and think about my works this semester as the building block to lead up to the over themes and ideas that composed this piece. When reflecting on my past project I had three major themes across the projects of this past semester, the large them I dealt with this semester was this theme of feminine nostalgia which can be seen clearly in my first and third project for this class. My other things major theme for my projects is finding a way to make the digital something tangible, something you can carry with you and potentially keep for as long as you want, like a book being put on a shelf, these ideas can be seen in the my second and third pieces for this class.
So I came up with this piece, a small series of almost identical zines that you can take home and keep for as long as you want. I wanted to make this piece of a higher quality and build off the ideas of my past zine.
What this piece really boils down to is a feminine nostalgia, something most females can relate towards. Most females in their life will experience living with other gals at a young age and just be building who they are together and trying to make their life work, and in a lot of way this is really what makes up my piece. I was really proud to have all 25 of my zine be taken at the end of the night.
