For this final project, I am experimenting with spray paint, and stencils made from sourced images. I am taking stencils from these images, by editing them in photoshop and illustrator, and then printing them out and cutting them, and using a laser cutter. I hope to comment on the singular definition of femininity that is depicted through pop culture and is dictated by society's singular ideals. Women are conditioned to put their self worth on their appearance, and are supposed to put value on superficial items and interests leaving women trying to maintain an ideal that is oppressing. I hope to start a conversation on femininity, society's ideals, and our consumerist culture.
